Last week, I just closed my laptop after working late and my brain was going 1,000 miles per hour. I quickly checked the clock – just enough time to get in bed and squeak in five hours of sleep! I raced through my nightly routine and my head hit the pillow in under 5 minutes.
Except I didn’t go to sleep.

Essential oils can bring peace to your mind and put the parking break on your brain because essential oils can pass the blood-brain barrier. They certainly helped me overcome my insomnia last week.

Combined with some of my personal favorites and from the comments on our Facebook, we’ve come up with some great 1-2 punch combination of recipes you can diffuse that may help you sleep just a little easier.
Lemon + Lavender: 1 drop lemon, and 2-3 drops Lavender
Lavender + Cedarwood: 2 drops Lavender, and 2 drops Cedarwood
Peace & Calming + Citrus Fresh blends: 2 drops Peace & Calming, and 2 drops Citrus Fresh
Lavender + Lemon + Cypress + Bergamot: 2 drops Lavender, 1 drop Lemon, 2 drops Cypress, and 1-2 drops Bergamot
Dream Catcher blend: 2 drops of the Dream Catcher blend
I’ve personally tried three of them, and obviously Lavender is the common thread.
